Ode to ducks

The AF-S 70-300mm VR has just the right reach or shooting tame birds, the 1.5x crop factor gives you the equivalent of 450mm at the long end in terms of film thinking. The local parks in Bridgewater have lots of these birds, finding a good background to match and ideal composition is the challenge.

These were photographed at the Carding Mills on Sunday, I was able to successfully integrate the SB-600 flash for fill light.
