The Nikon 12-24mm - not your typical walking around lens

There is no hard and fast rule you have to conform to "norms" when you are shooting, and using an UWA for a walk is something different. It's always a bit of a challenge to find images with the 12-24mm but I seem to be able to get the most from the lens.

The inherently large depth of field makes it perfect for getting that landscape sharp front to back, I don't even mind the nominal distortion that is part of its character. In fact, it can even add to the photograph if the technique is handled, properly. Just be careful you don't get any of your feet and toes at the edge of the frame....
